Garden House
Wild Wonder, Islington
121 sqm / 1302.43 sqft
For our vibrant garden house project, we embarked on an exciting journey to transform a blank canvas—an airy, newly converted apartment in Islington—into a lively haven that reflects the personality of our colour-loving client. With her passion for pink and yellow, we wove these warm tones into the fabric of the home, creating a cohesive narrative that resonates throughout the space.
A Colourful Palette
Our design approach centred around infusing the apartment with a joyful spirit. Bold, floral wallpapers and prints became the signature elements, wrapping each room in a delightful embrace of colour.
In the main bedroom, we used wallpaper from Woodchip & Magnolia and designed a bespoke wall-to-wall scallop-edged headboard, finished in a boucle fabric with pink velvet piping. The dressing table was a vintage find.
Vibrant Bathrooms
The bathrooms were a canvas for creativity, where, keeping the existing tiles and fittings, we introduced bespoke vanity units in eye-catching hues paired with statement wallpapers. In the main en-suite (below), we featured Maison C’s cheeky 'Coven' wallpaper, a bold choice that adds character and intrigue, making the space feel both chic and inviting.
A Gallery of Interest
To enhance the hallway, we crafted a captivating gallery wall that draws the eye, providing a dynamic focal point. The wallpaper trim, which elegantly follows the skirting and architraves, introduces an unexpected element of fun and detail, leading the eye down the hallway and into the living space beyond.
In the heart of the home, the kitchen trolley island was custom-designed to offer a playful contrast to the existing dark wood cabinetry. Adorned with brass castor wheels and a charming scallop trim, this piece not only serves as a functional centrepiece but also adds a touch of whimsy.
