The Field House

Cosy Country Escape, Hampshire

302.7 sqm / 3258 sqft

The brief for this country house was to consolidate the owners’ existing furniture from the previous Georgian house with their love of the Danish concept of ‘hygge’ (cosiness and contentment), but with plenty of colour and warmth.

A home for all seasons

Inspired by the surrounding countryside, the design draws reference from the four seasons and nature.

With our sustainable values in mind - we first considered what the client already owned, re-upholstering much of the existing furniture.

The products and tradesmen were locally sourced, and we used primarily natural and recycled materials, such as rugs made from recycled plastic bottles and 100% natural fibre fabrics.

Handmade and bespoke

We also commissioned some bespoke stone lamps and lampshades to be specially handmade for the project, and the focal points are the beautiful bespoke headboard panelling and headboards we designed.

The artwork is entirely from the client's own collection.
